special teams

We use a sports theme around here to describe much of what we do... and our small group ministry is no exception. In football, special teams are small squads that play a big role and we thought that it was an appropriate name for our small group ministry. It's how we do life together in between Sundays.

If you would like to deepen your connection with others at Grace as well as strengthen your biblical understanding and knowledge, consider joining one of four groups showcased below.

  • Special Teams meet twice a month for 90-minutes.
  • All teams will be studying the same book together - Galatians.
  • Deepen and strengthen your biblical knowledge.
  • Pray together and support one another through life's ups and downs.
  • Get to know others in between Sundays

Contact Kimberly or Scott Pierce to sign up or with any questions. pierce.kimberly114@gmail.com or 907-723-0514.

Meet our

special team leaders

Hebrews 10:24-25
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

  • Scott and Kimberly Pierce

Scott and Kimberly have been members of Grace Community Church since February 2017. They have two young boys and a 12-year old Siberian Husky. Small groups have been an integral part of their journey with God and they look forward to leading and learning throughout their time as Special Team Coaches this coming year.

  • Kevin and Amber-Lee Pontbriand

Kevin and Amber-Lee have been a part of the GCC family for 5-years. They have two little boys, Beckett and Lincoln. They are looking forward to being team leaders for small groups and can't wait to see what God has planned for our church in the coming year and the growth that will take place as we embark on this exciting adventure.

  • Kyle and Michelle Dunham

Kyle and Michelle have been at Grace since the summer of 2015. During their free time, they enjoy walks and bike rides with their son and daughter. Small group swill be an exciting opportunity for them to learn and expand their roles in the kingdom of God.

  • Dave & Cindy Cloutier

David and Cindy have been believers for over 25-years and have been attending Grace for the last two years. "We live in Greene with our 12-year old grandson, Drake. We've faced many trials during our marriage, but God has been with us through it all and we believe that the trials have helped us grow closer to Him and each other. We love the quaint and cozy feel of Grace and are excited to get to know some of you on a deeper level."

  • Wayne and Stacey Drake

Wayne and Stacey Drake of Auburn, are a blended family with five children between the ages of 8 and 14. With both a Baptist and Jewish background they bring a unique perspective to their small group sessions.  Small group meetings are held Sunday afternoons at 11:30 shortly after the service.

  • Dave & Kim Bochtler

Dave and Kim are a part of the founding group of Grace Community Church. They have been in ministry for over 25 years. They enjoy spending their time with their family of 5 children and soon to be 5 grandchildren. Dave is a die-hard Miami Dolphins fan (pray for him!) and has been a football coach for over 30 years. Kim has been a worship director for over 23 years. The Bochtlers look forward to connecting with and helping others grow in their faith!

  • Brad & Emily Krook

Brad and Emily have been attending Grace Community Church since the fall of 2017. They have two children, Mason and Adelaide and as a family, enjoy anything that has to do with nature. The small group ministry is very dear to their hearts as they have witnessed first-hand the immense growth and bonding that being part of small groups can provide both between group members and with God. The relationship building within these groups is invaluable and they are so grateful to be a part of the small group ministry team at GCC.

  • Josh & Julia Levesque

Josh has been a member of Grace for four years and Julia has been a member since Spring 2019. They help run Levesque's Organic Farm in Leeds, ME and just welcomed their first child, Eleanor, in November 2019. They look forward to growing in their walk with Christ and helping others do the same through small groups.
