Matt Cleveland – Lead Pastor

Matt has been actively involved in ministry ever since he was in high school. He attended and worked at Baptist Bible College in Pennsylvania (now called Clarks Summit University). Matt and his family came to Grace Community Church in early 2021.

Matt is also heavily involved in local prison and reentry ministries.

He lives in Auburn with his wife, Amy, and their three kids: Abby (7), Lucy (4), and Simon (3). He loves playing unecessarily complicated board games and working on and creating small electronics, particularly guitar effects.

Dave Bochtler – Pastor

Dave has been pastoring in the Lewiston/Auburn area since 1995. He is originally from South Florida and despite their record, still loves the Miami Dolphins. Dave graduated from the University of Maine in 1985 and nine years later, he felt led to pastor a congregation. He started Grace Community Church in 2008.

Dave began distant learning from Dallas Theological Seminary and hosting a small group in his basement. This was just the beginning of a lifelong journey to expand the Kingdom of God through the local church.

He lives in Turner with his wife Kim and has 5 adult children. He loves coaching, duck hunting, being a Bumpa to his 5 grandchildren, and golf. Dave’s motto: “Be real and different, so you can make a real difference in the lives of others” is the mission instilled to those who attend Grace Community..
